What is HACCP? – Food Safety

HACCP is a tool provided in international standards and good manufacturing practices in the food safety industry chain. It is also used in the food safety management system according to ISO22000 and other standards of the area.

HACCP, which stands for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points is considered a risk analysis for the food safety sector with international recognition, used as prioritization of actions and reduction of risks in the food process.

The tool identifies the critical control points, so-called CCP, so the control points and their respective actions are defined.

The process can thus guarantee safety of the process regarding the industrialization and manipulation of food.

HACCP certification

Currently, several companies opt for the certification of their HACCP, from food industries to restaurants, through producers and other actors in the food chain.

The result of certification is a greater reliability over their processes and management of critical control points in their respective operations.

QMS acts with HACCP certification in America and worldwide, its highly qualified auditors assess HACCP compliance according to international standards.

The certification process within the organization is intended to attest stakeholders to food safety controls for a safer world.
